About Us
Catherine Holloway
I am a DISP student at Dalhousie University, and I plan on studying physics. Before going to Dal I lived in Antigonish Nova Scotia, where I attended John H. Gillis High School. I designed this website, however, any sillyness that follows is Bobo's doing.

I am a two-month-old DISP student at Dalhousie University. I came about by a unforeseen error in the CVD section of the nanotube synthesis. The way I understand it, the annealed iron contained a human, bird, and lizard cell, which fused together and through unbelievable chance the DNA recombined to form a being, me. The CVD deposited enough Carbon to not grow nanotubes, but it allowed the Bird, human, lizard (Blizard) cell to replicate and form me. I am a true DISPer, given the fact that I am going to study Physics and Biochemistry. That way I can get all the sciences at once and figure out how it was possible for me to exist. I am planning on living in Nackawic New Brunswick for the summer because it seems that my DNA originates from this area.

Bobo Eyrich
I am a 9,300,000-year-old fossilized DISP student at Dalhousie University who still retains my absurd height of 7' 7'' and weight of 613.1415926539 stones. In other words, I am the mammoth man. You'll find me either on my computer, on my bike, on a field, on a court, or on a ski hill in the pleistocene era. I originated near Lake Turkana in the Great Rift Valley, migrated with early Homo Sapiens to the shore of the North Sea, where I was trapped by ice and cryogenically frozen. 93 years ago a howitzer fired by the British Expeditionary force, smashed the ice block that contained me allowing me to resume my regular activities, such as eating and sleeping.

TopAcknowledgements
We would like to thank many people who graciously gave their time and equipment in order for us to do these experiments.
Gary Liu, a Master's student at Dalhousie, coached us through the nanotube synthesis procedure, and gave over 20 hours a week of his time to assist us in this experiment.
Dr. Jeff Dahn trusted the three of us to use the sophisticated equipment in his lab, and also gave us some of his time to follow what we are doing. We are truly thankful that he offered us this opportunity to expand our knowledge and give us the opportunity to do research that most first year students are not given the chance to.
Robbie Sanderson, Andrew George, and Patricia Scallion, are all very talented technicians who work with the equipment that we used and who spent several hours , each, watching over us to make sure that the results we got from our experiments were not affected by mechanical mishaps.
Dr. Barry Ruddick, the DISP physics professor who also took many hours out of his research time to check our progress. Primarily, he made sure that we got our project done on time without spending exorbitant amounts of time on other tangential experiment.
