Another Week...

Hello random people on the internet, welcome to another addition of "Catherine Holloway complains about being too busy".
Elections: well, the results were pretty disappointing, but I can still sorta take refuge in Canada, and my life probably won't change that much because Bush is still there. I just liked Kerry a lot. In any case, I'll be able to vote in the next US election, not that it will make much difference now. It was pretty funny listening to my classmates talk about politics and demonstrating their ignorance about it. My dad would've steamed if he heard the things they were saying. Most teenagers in my high school see Kerry as being Right-wing and Nader as being perfectly normal.
Band: currently we're preparing for Rememberance day ceremonies. He wants the Stage band to play one of them instead of the Concert band, at least on one of the ceremonies. I guess he wants to shake things up: those veterans need something to jive to as they lay their reefs, so we're going to play "Stormy Weather" and other war-time hits.
Halloween: Pierre and I went out trick-or-treating. I went as the lyrics to a Beatles song: "Here comes the sun King". Afterwards, Meaghan came over and read Russian Tarot cards.
Philosophical thought du semaine: I've been thinking of how people want to believe in an afterlife because they want to feel that there's something good in the end, a place where they'll be eternally happy. If so, I think that Heaven and Hell must be very boring places. Eventually you'd get tired of being happy in heaven, and numb to the pain of Hell. What would be the point?
